Runners will start out very clean but throughout the run, volunteers will splash them with powders of green, blue, pink and yellow until their faces, shirts, and bodies come out silkscreened like a tie-dyed piece of art.
Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color on to the runners until they cross the finish line in a rainbow of colors.
Speaking on why the company decided to sponsor such an event, the Field Marketing & Access to energy Director, Schneider Electric, Mrs. Anne Ezeh stated that the Color me rad event resonated with the company’s 2016 global brand strategy “Life is On” which encapsulates the vibrant human energy directed towards life either at work or play.
Schneider Electric is the sponsor of the green booth and the company is encouraging people to participate en masse at the event. The company is also giving out free tickets via its social media platforms.
